In the fall of 1991, Chuck was hired by then principal, Jim Williamson, to replace longtime teacher, Paul Geiser, in the mathematics department and to head up the girls soccer program. The new head basketball coach, Mike Price, also hired Chuck to be the freshman basketball coach at Delhi Jr. High School. Since that time, he has been the head girls soccer coach (25 years), current head baseball coach (27 years), head freshman boys basketball coach (11 years), head girls junior varsity basketball coach (6 years), head boys junior varsity basketball coach (2 years), assistant girls basketball coach (1 year) and assistant boys freshman basketball coach (2 years). During his 33 years, he has coached 82 seasons of high school sports, 77 as a head coach, including numerous seasons as a head or assistant coach with youth programs.  Chuck has earned numerous coaching honors at the conference, city, district and state levels. Two hundred and fifty two of his athletes have continued their careers at the college level while 16 have gone on to play professionally.

Chuck is happily married to Susan and the proud father of four Oak Hills graduates who excelled academically and athletically. Each continued their athletic career at the college level: Morgan, class of 2010 cheerleading, Kelsey, class of 2011 soccer and basketball, Mackenzie class of 2013 golf, basketball and track, and Ben, class of 2014 golf, basketball and baseball.

“I am a very lucky person to have grown up in a supportive family where my parents were caring and sacrificed what they had for me and my three sisters. Susan and I are very fortunate to have four great kids who have been successful in their past endeavors and are on track for the next step in their life’s journey. I have also been very fortunate to have a career that I never thought of as a job, but as a hobby.  I will truly miss it when it is over.”
