OHHS engineering students and ScotBot team receive grant for Robotics competition presented by Chairman Cheryl Sieve

Ehancing classroom learning

Since 2002 the Foundation has donated $165,000 to fund more than 225 district projects for curriculum items not covered by tax dollars. Grants from the Foundation help to bring a wide variety of hands-on programs and projects which enhance student learning, as well as supply additional materials to Oak Hills’ students and staff. We consider ourselves the "educational booster" group. Examples of past projects include tile and painted murals, science fairs, book clubs, field trips, musical performances and theatrical production. We also fund special projects like the OHHS robotics team and district Destination Imagination teams.

We hope you'll browse the grants we funded last year and check out the inclusive and accessible playground we built at Oakdale Elementary. The Scottie Yard Playground is open for all in our community to enjoy! We are pleased to help the Band Association and school district with the renovation efforts to the Oak Hills High School auditorium. Wow, what a face lift the facility received. Be sure to visit when you're in town.
